Isaac winning would be so anti-climatic and. Their crusade to rid the entire universe of life has been going on for centuries. A human being against almost God like creatures the size of moons who are spread across the entire universe, can communicate with each other telepathically and are far more intelligent than any other organism can ever hope to be. Isaac can't win, no matter how much he wants or try.
It fits the narrative established so far perfectly. If the intent was to make an additional game you can't exactly pick up from "we're all screwed"
